1. Your domain order
Where domain sales are enabled, Relaytera arranges domain registration, renewal, reactivation and transfer through a sponsoring registrar and the relevant registry. Buying a domain is a time-limited registration service, not a guarantee that a name will remain available. The registry must confirm the operation before Relaytera reports it fulfilled.
You must be entitled to use the name, provide accurate registrant and contact information, keep it current, and respond to verification or dispute notices. Applicable registrar, registry and ICANN requirements form part of the registration arrangement. A domain may be suspended, restricted or transferred under those requirements or applicable law.
2. Price, renewal and separate services
The purchase review and secure Checkout identify the domain fee, currency, term and any service plan. Tax and the final payable total are confirmed in Checkout. Where automatic renewal is selected, the domain amount and term reserved for that subscription remain its billing terms; a new price or term requires a new disclosed agreement, not an undisclosed then-current price.
A combined purchase collects the initial domain fee and selected service in one payment, but their ongoing billing is separate. Turning domain renewal off does not cancel hosting, mailboxes or Relay API, and cancelling a service does not cancel domain renewal. Imported or transferred domains have no automatic renewal subscription until you explicitly enable one.
Keep a valid payment method and monitor the registry expiry shown in your domain panel. A billing anniversary or successful payment is not proof of registry renewal. If a domain remains pending or requires support, do not pay again for the same operation.
3. Expiry, recovery and transfers
An expired domain can stop serving its website and mail. Grace, redemption and reactivation options vary by extension and registry; no universal grace period or guaranteed recovery is promised. Recovery may require a separately quoted fee, and the domain can ultimately be released to someone else. Contact support promptly if expiry or a paid operation needs attention.
Transfers depend on eligibility, current registrar approval, locks and any required authorisation code. They may take several days or require your action. A transfer does not universally add a year to expiry. Obtain the current registrar's rules before ordering; do not send transfer codes or account passwords to support by email.
4. Payment failures, cancellation and refunds
You can leave or cancel an unpaid Checkout. After payment, a pending, uncertain or failed registrar result needs reconciliation: repeating a purchase could create a duplicate charge. Relaytera support checks the original payment and provider outcome before deciding on fulfilment, correction or a refund under the applicable order and law.
Stopping future automatic renewal does not delete an already registered domain or automatically refund its remaining term. This policy does not promise an automatic refund for a completed registrar operation or remove any mandatory cancellation or refund right. No consumer-rights waiver is inferred from ticking the domain consent box.
If only part of a combined purchase succeeds, domain and service billing remain separately identifiable. Dependent setup may be held until domain ownership is confirmed. Ask support about recovery, using another domain, or refund eligibility; the entire service subscription is not automatically refunded or cancelled.
5. Registrant data and privacy
Relaytera sends necessary registrant/contact information, domain instructions and transfer authorisation to the sponsoring registrar and registry. Registration data may also be handled for verification, lawful disclosure, registration-data publication and required escrow. These recipients can have their own legal or policy duties and are not all simply Relaytera subprocessors.
Privacy/proxy protection is requested only where supported and is not confirmed until the registrar reports it active. It does not prevent every lawful disclosure or replace accurate underlying contact information. The Privacy Policy and provider register describe processing and safeguards. Retention required for billing, disputes or registration obligations can outlast workspace deletion; do not assume deleting a workspace deletes registrar records.
6. Registration agreements and registrant information
Review the linked registration agreement, registrar privacy information and registry-specific rules before accepting an order. The sponsoring registrar is identified in that agreement and can also be checked through ICANN Lookup. Relaytera remains your product and support contact; these links provide required registration information, not a separate customer checkout.
